I own a White Goldfish. He is ALL WHITE [ Except for a minor red spot on one of his fins] Just wanting to know if this color of goldfish is common.

An all white goldfish is not common, but it is not rare either. A very special, intentional breeding process would have to occur to create an all white goldfish, but even with that, the fish would have normally colored eyes. I read your other question about your fish having red eyes. If it has always had red eyes, your goldfish is an albino and this is not an intentional breeding process, this is just one of those whoops! of mother nature, but is quite rare and very cool. Hopefully, that little red spot won't increase, as goldfish are wont to do because of genetic mutations and reversals, and you'll get to keep your beautiful albino goldy, but he will still be beautiful! Also hope that the red spot isn't something like septicemia........

I have a goldfish that used to be almost all gold, until probably a year later. Now the fish looks totally albino. It's weird, but i suppose white goldfish aren't all that uncommon.

Yes, when a goldfish grows older it can lose it's color and turn white.

Silver or white fish have no pigmentation in the skin and only guanine. Albino goldfish lacks pigment everywhere. They have pink eyes.

It is not uncommon and can be bred into goldfish. A red cap oranda is almost all white.

It is normal.

I read that if you leave a goldfish in a dark room it will turn white. I haven't tried it though.
