I think it was called Evan. That was also the name of the hero.
He was a cowboy--I think and the heroine was a young blonde girl who he thought was too young and small for him. He had a hang up about being a really big guy.
She worked in an art gallery and liked to paint pictures. She was alsys flirting with him and he hurt her by trying to embarrass her with some other woman- possibly.
Anyway she got engaged and so he made a play for her.

It's a book I read years ago and wanted to find again but can't remember the author or even if tht's the real name of the book.
All I remember was that it had a red cover.

Can anyone help?

Hi,
It's not Mills and Boons; it's Silhouette Romance. It's by Diana Palmer and it premiered in September 1991 and it's a part of her 'Long, Tall Texans' series.
Yes, it's called 'Evan'.
Hope you find it. good luck.
God bless.

Mills & Boon books are actually meant to be disposable. They publish several a month in each range, and after that month they cease to be available. So it's almost impossible to track down a random book from years ago.

Why not contact Mills and Boon, I'm sure they can help you. Google their name - they have a large website.
