I say if a dog is cut they bleed and feel pain just as much as a human does and what Vick did was so hurtful and wrong and I don't think Vick has many supporters at all.
Poor dogs

Those who are cruel to animals are desperate to have power and control over some living thing in order to make up for their own inadequacies as a human being (I include anyone who kills creatures as a hobby, such as with insect collectors, or so-called sport hunters, or those in the drug and cosmetic and other industries who use animals as test subjects, not to mention bull or cock fights).

If Michael Vick weren't famous, there would be near universal disdain and loathing for his activities, and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

People like him are beneath contempt, and are lower than the animals they keep, train, and watch fight.

But, the true horror of this event has yet to reveal itself: How many of his teammates were invited over to watch such events? How many had their own animals participate, or bet on it? Where's *their* punishment?

Ask him if he had a dog and a bicycle, both of which he paid $200 for, if he would feel the same if someone doused one or the other with gasoline and set fire to it. If a person really doesn't feel any differently about an animal than an inanimate object, I wouldn't want anything to do with them. I don't consider animals equal to humans, but they are higher than mere objects.

Tell them it doesn't matter if you care about dogs or not, because what he did was illegal. There are laws in place that must be followed and it doesn't matter if you agree with them or not. It is the same argument as people drinking under 21. They say it is a stupid law or whatever. It doesn't matter because it is the law and you have to follow it or pay the price.

This is just me, but I would say to that person that dogs are animals that are loyal and lovable and just want that human companionship. They look to us to help them out; they are defenseless.
And if they still do not see that, then you should tell them that you hope their balls get ripped off by those dogs and that he bleeds out is a/s/s if he feels that way!
But, that is just me. You do not have to agree.

Well I think that what he did was very wrong and he should have to pay for it. But what makes me mad is that a man can beat up a women and leave her for dead and most of the time all they get is probation. Our legal system needs to wake up.
