I don't have an address for them. Now their phone has been disconnected, and I am not getting any e-mail responses from them. Is this how people who are supposed to care about eahc other treat each other? Where's the trust, the faith, the honesty? Is it no wonder today that when people need help, we are afraid to help them? Does this change my mind about helping people? No. It just makes me more aware of how untruthful, dishonest, and unkind people can be. How easy it is to use people for whatever it is they need. I guess I'm gullible, but I always believed in people and to this day I still do. I just feel bad that somebody I considered a friend would knowingly do something like this to me. Welll, I say... I CAN FACE GOD KNOWING THAT I HELPED SOMEBODY OUT WHO SAID THEY NEEDED HELP... YOU HAVE TO FACE GOD AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU LIED AND DID WHAT YOU DID. MY CONSCIENCE IS CLEAR.

Well, lesson learned. NEVER EVER lend money to family or friends. Thats like one of the first rules you should learn with money, because things like this happen.

Not only are you out some cash, but you are out a friend too.

you know hwat you did what you belived was the right thing to do. god say help thy neighbor and you did right, but for starters its not gods work that they did not pay back so dont look at it that way. first thing first. they moved and you dont have no way to contact them. did you try where they worked at or tried going back to where they use to live and asked the neighbors if they knew where they moved to. if you can get some kind of lead on them then you can take them to court. like if you knew where they worked you could send a court order to their job. try sending them a court order to their old address if they moved they could have done a change of address and the mail would be sent to their new address. if you are really in need of the money you lent them then hire someone to find them and add it to their bill. if you are not in need of the money , but you want it back then if you are not going to run them down then charge it to the game and learn from your mistakes. the next time you lend out a lot of money to friends get as much information as you can and have them sighn a promise note to how and when they will pay back. next time if you dont have it to lend then dont but if you do remember the last time and take more precauction to help you not get the bad end of the stick. its good to help people to the best way to do that is to help them help themselves. its not always about giving money. its about showing them where and how about getting it with out getting yourself caught up in their problems. just prey and remember you will be blessed and they will reap what they sow. if it took what ever amount it took to get them out your life then its all for the best. when it runs out and they are in a jam again they will come back to you and then you can let them know what ever it is you want them to know. just remember you have god on your side.

I know exactly how you feel, and I'm still helping people in need. It doesn't matter what they did wrong, they have to answer for that. You did right, and GOD will bless you. The friends that did that to you are not your friends and you may be better off not having them in YOUR life. GOD WILL BLESS YOU!!!

To answer the question, you can take them to court, since the friendship is gone anyway. If you loan anybody else money, get something in writing, even if it's on notebook paper.

Man this is rough.....This is my motto.....I never lend anymore than I can afford to lose....this is the risk you took out of love of course....that's where your blessing will come....but be careful...do not let people take your kindness for weakness...I am sorry for your pain...you seem like such a loving person....keep your chin up and God bless!!!
