I was thinking of purchasing a set of two guages and they give me the option of mechanical or electrical guages. Which of the two are easier to install?? These guages are going to be installed in a guage pod in an 06 GTO. Thanks for the help!!

For absolute accuracy plumb mechanical gages. Today there nice HD nylon or stainless steel covered lines to run the water and oil temps. If you want a volt meter that aill have to be an electrical deal. Don't bother with an amp meter.
The trouble with electric gages is they depend on a middle electrical sensor step. If you want trouble free "real quick" readings race cars always go with mechanical metering. I hate to say it but a mechanical water temperature gage is actually a bi-metal tube that sinks into intake manifold water crossover, front or rear

Electrical are usually much easier and less messy than running oil lines and such into the interior of the car. No real loss of accuracy for most use.
