just thought I would share this here.

Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN )for 6am. While his coffeepot ( MADE IN CHINA ) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor ( MADE IN HONG KONG ). He put on a dress shirt ( MADE IN SRI LANKA ), designer jeans ( MADE IN SINGAPORE ) and
>tennis shoes ( MADE IN KOREA ). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA ) he sat down with his calculator (
MADE IN MEXICO ) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN ) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA ) he got in his car ( MADE IN GERMANY ) filled it with GAS from Saudi Arabia and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB . At the end of yet another
discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (Made In Malaysi a), Joe decided to relax for a while.
He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL ) poured himself a glass of wine
(MADE IN FRANCE.! ) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA )

Economics is far more complicated than that. It's global now. Nothing is not affected by the "foreign market". Most things are mind-blowingly interconnected. I DO appreciate the point you're trying to make, but it goes way deeper than a "made in America" tag.

what is your point? companies have the right to produce their products where ever they want to in the world. whether it is america or timbuktu. if you don't like then start your own business and run it, right here in america, otherwise it doesn't matter. and many companies outsource jobs because americans want to get paid a lot of money to do barely anything and they don't have to pay foreigners as much, it is a way of life

The American Economy obviously sucks...what else is new. Joe Smith sounds a lot like me except my car is Japanese, and I have a great job.

Your question should be how true is this. And there are plenty of good paying jobs in America. So it isn't very true at all. If you have an education, & you're willing to work then you should be able to find a job with a good salary.
