My friend who is with me right now wanted me to post this... She has hairy thighs and wants to know if she can shave them. She is afraid that the hair will grow back dark and it will be really bad. Is it okay to save thighs?

It's perfectly fine to shave your thighs, most women including myself do. The hair will grow back if she doesn't keep up with shaving them, but as long as she shaves once a day, or every other day it'll be fine.

Make sure she knows to use body wash or shaving gel while shaving, and also to moisturize really well after her shower to avoid painful and itchy razor burn.

Hope this helps. :-)

I shave my thighs, and when the hair grows back it's practically not noticeable. I have dark hair, but my thigh hairs are damn near blonde. So I rarely shave them, only when I'm sitting down in a bath and plan to be there for a while, if I'm in hurry, I just tend to the lower legs and move on.

I had hairy thighs, so I shaved them , personally I think it's kind of nasty when people have hairy thighs. It doesn't grow back as thick as the bottom of your legs but you still need to shave whenever you do you legs.

The amount or thickness of hair doesn't change when you shave it. When it grows back it can get a bit prickly so as long as she is willing to deal with it or shave it regularly, go ahead..hairy thighs are generally not considered attractive on women in America.

If it embarrasses her to have hairy thighs, yes she should remove the hair. I had a teenage friend that tired of shaving them all the time, and she chose to have them waxed - and she loved the results. Once your friend gets older, she may desire to have the hair lasered. However that is very costly, but is permanent.

I started shaving my thighs when I was 12.
I still do, but like every 2-3 weeks.
It takes a while for the hairs to grow back on me
and they arent as notice able. [:

She can do whatever makes her feel most comfortable. If the hair on her thighs is bothering her that much, then she should go ahead and shave it. Nothing bad will come of it.

Yes, she should be shaving all of her legs. It's not a problem. The hair will grow back as it would on the rest of her legs.

while it is true that it tends to grow back thicker and darker, it is usually a personal preference. if i can remember back , i think i shave my thighs but i was already dark haired and have thick hair. there is no MEDICAL reason to do it, nor is there a medical reason to NOT do it. all a matter of what you prefer.
