It really makes me grumpy when patients have not been told what to expect when they are given a drug by their GP!
For a minimal of 3 months it is normal to have erratic dysfunctional bleeding on all progesterone only pills. This may take the form of missed periods, intra-menstrual bleeding and occasionally continuous low level bleeding.
Occasionally this can last as long as 6 months. After this time increasing numbers of women on progesterone lose their periods, at 1 year this reaches about 70% of women.

Yes, I am on micronor (omg finally I have found someone else who is on it too!!!!) and I didn't have a period for the first year! But then when they did start they were really irregular and lasted up to a couple of weeks. My nurse said that Micronor really messes with your periods and this is totally normal. Now (after 2 and a half years) my periods are pretty normal in flow and stuf...when I do get them that is - they are really irregular, which is a bit of a pain as I'm often worrying if I'm pregnant! I went through a few months of having light periods for 4 days every week. I've noticed different PMS symptoms than I got before I was on this, though e.g. my nipples get sore for about a week before I start my period. See how you feel after 6 months of being on this pill (that's how long it takes for your body to get used to it, apparently) and if you really don't feel settled, or gives you bad side effects and it doesn't suit you, then have a chat with your nurse to see if she can switch you to another type of mini-pill. E-mail me if you want to know anything else - could talk for hours about this lol. Good luck!

I had two periods a month after taking Micronor my doctor took me off all mini pills and put the coil in instead. Have a word with your doctor to see what else is available for you to try, you don't have to put up with this! what's the point of being on the pill if you're not having sex because you're having the world's longest period lol!!

Most likely it is just a fluke. Young women usually have some irregularity in their periods for a few years after starting the menstrual cycle. IF it continues or is accompanied by severe pain she needs to see a gyno.

The best solution is to gain control over it. As someone already said, stop when you're getting there and relax. Pay more attention to pleasuring your mate--orally, perhaps--and avoid rubbing your penis up against anything while doing so. It will take work on your part and patience on both parts. Learn here http://EndPrematureEjaculation.enle.info/?8x0C
As a last resort, some antidepressants curb sexual functioning with the intention of learning the pleasure of restraint after which you could taper off them. Here's your goal: the longer you can delay your orgasm, the more intense it will be. So it isn't just a matter of satisfying your mate. This is the main reason some claim stoned sex is better, unlike drunk sex which can leave you unable to perform (brewer's droop). You enjoy exploring each other longer. And remember, oral isn't just one place. It's all over, paying particular attention to kissing, and TALK about what each of you like. Strange how people don't talk about sex when they're the ones doing it.

The progesterone only pill can often cause menstrual irregularities, such as irregular bleeding or missed periods.

You should go see your doctor. Any period lasting that long isn't normal.

No, this is not normal and needs to be evaluated by your doctor to see what they think is going on.
