You're assuming there is a purpose to life in the first place. That question should be answered first, then we can worry about the second. But, before those questions can be asked, to paraphrase Camus, the first philosophical question is whether we want to continue living or to kill ourselves. If that's a yes, then you have an up hill battle trying to decide if there is a purpose. And maybe then, well, you've spent all your time trying to figure out if there is a purpose, then figuring out what your purpose is, you missed half your life. I suggest stop searching and start living.
