Two point charges are placed on the x-axis as follows: one positive charge q1= 4.01 nC is located to the right of the origin at .204m. And a second positive charge q2= 4.97 nC is located to the left of the origin at -.302m

What is the total force (magnitude and direction) exerted by these two charges on a negative point charge q3= -5.99 nC that is placed at the origin.

I keep getting 2.25 or 2.26 N but the computer says its not right . What am I doing wrong?

nC means nanoCoulomb or 1x10^-9 coulombs. You seem to be using microCoulombs which is 1x10^-6 coulombs.
