hello. i own a 2007 lexus IS250 with both black exterior and interior and residing in florida. the car doesnt have any tint on the glass. it is parked out in the sun most of the time and gets extremely hot. i dont know what will be the right thing to do to as i am worried about the fading of the dash and the leather seats. some people told me that tints help and some told me to put a sunshade on the front while the car is parked. my first question is that does the sun heat really bad for the interior for such a luxury car. i feel that its dash and leathers have been already made to bear such heat. may be i am wrong and wante your OPINION. second question is what can i do to save the interior. should i put tints. if not then what should i do. thanks for your help in advance.

Well, Tint is an awsome idea cause not only will it look good and keep the temp down it can also keep out some of the ultra violet rays that accualy cause damage to your car. Another thing is dont just get the windows done but also A strip at the top of the window in which you see on most cars. the sun is above you during most of the day and with the slant of the glass is will help more than you could imagine.
A sunshade will help the dash just make sure to find a good leather, plastic and what other materials that are in your car protector and conditioner and use them as instructed. This will help keep the leather soft and flexible and will help it from becoming brittle and ripping or tearing. It will also help seal the color and resist fading.
The leather and other material on cars always have the chance of being harmed. The heat and the ultra violet rays will dry out just about anything over time. Even the most expensive leathers still have to be treated with care and conditioned to stay pretty and flexible. Congrats!!!

Definitely go with the darkest tint you can that does not interfere with driving at night and something that blocks a great percentage of UV rays is the best---there's no fabric, leather or plastic made---even in luxury cars--- that will not eventually get dryed out, faded and rotted from the suns rays and heat over time. Plus it takes that much more time for the a/c to cool the interior unless you have a remote start to precool the car. Make sure the tint level or darkness you choose is legal as there are laws concerning this---tint shops or police will know. Keeping the interior from fading will increase the value of the car on trade-in or resale and tinting can always be removed. Best option is to tint and park in the shade or carport as often as you can to keep the paint from fading as well.
