Within a month i have had 3 periods... first one was normal- started on a wed- ended the next...then a week later on wed it started again- ended in a week..I thought maybe it was because of stress...then two days ago (tues) it started up again...i'm getting cramps on the first day and now my stomache will get a sharp pain every now and then....- I AM going to my doctor- but i would like an idea before i go- if anyone has one

In January of this year, my periods came on like yours. It took me until March to get to my OB/GYN due to appointment availability. When I did go, they did a transvaginal ultrasound and found that I had uterine fibroids. (I have since had a hysterectomy)
I suppose this could happen at any age. It is best to let your doctor determine exactly what is causing your menorrhagia, and how it can be treated.

This bleeding (breakthrough bleeding which can act a lot like a menstrual period) can definitely be stress related but there's also the possibility that it could be an infection.
