I know that the college athletic departments work with the admissions to give recruits an easier time. Do walk-ons also have a chance in getting an easier time w/ admissions?

I think that you have to be enrolled in a college before you can walk-on.

While there are negotiations between the admissions department and the athletic department about certain possible players, it pertains to scholarship players only. Why would the athletic department worry about someone who wasn't good enough to get a scholarship?

Besides, a walk-on has to be in the school in order to impress a coaching staff enough to make a team.
