It's been found that Iraq has hit 3 of 18 benchmarks set by THE WHITE HOUSE, now tony snow is going on about how benchmarks are not the only way to measure results... If there was another way to do it, why didn't the white house include it in the benchmarks.... Doesn't it tell you something when the people who set the benchmarks say they don't matter? If you still support the war in Iraq, how can you look at this and not be angry?

Please don't tell me anything about them "following us home" I might believe it if the people that made this prediction had predicted even one thing right in the entire Iraqi war, but they haven't so that argument holds no water.

rerugged, apparently I'm speaking above you're head, the white house is an allegory for the current administration, always has been, also you're wrong, the benchmarks were set by the white house and congress, look at them, they are not arbitrary, they make sense.... It's just sad that someone like you could be so blind, and so complacent in being so blind. just making things up.

Bill Maher is that you? :D

Not many people still actually support the White House outside of the koolaid drinking, glue sniffers... and who cares about them anyway?

Lana, you make no sense. They attacked the UK WHILE WE ARE STILL THERE. Thus proving the point that regardless of if we are there or not, they will STILL be looking for an opportunity to strike. Or perhaps you can tell us who exactly were they "following home" at the time, because it sure as hell wasn't us.

I have never had much respect for the current administration, so it is no surprise they are trying to put a spin on the report.

I don't think the mid September report is going to give glowing marks to anything either. Very little has happened, the areas that are somewhat secure, are even more sectarian. Most of the Sunnis have been driven out of Baghdad, now the Shites are going after each other.

The government is more dysfunctional than it was 9 months ago.

First off, supporters of the Iraq War know that it's going to be much longer before Iraq finally stops rebelling, that's always true of an occupation of a country. Secondly, since when did anyone respect politicians?

What the hell are you ranting about? You have a government built from scratch trying to run a country with no unity. They have had to write a Constituion, Elect people, and avoid getting blown up in less time our own nation took to do so...... Most Iraqi's care more about having the power on for more then 3 hours day then your benchmarks.... Nation building is not like microwave popcorn cooking.......
As to your dispute about following us home? If they went to London And Mardid, why not Omaha?

I don't. Not since Bush started misleading Americans to invade iraq.

Congress made up some arbitrary bench marks. Iraq never agreed to follow them. Bench marks mean nothing.
The White House is a building, not a human. No one respects a building. I respect the President. The US gave the Iraqis their freedom to choose a government. If the people are not happy, they can do what liberals do in the US...bich, bich, bich and bich.
