would you accept he/she as they were or would you have them surgically removed? This is assumming the extra digits would pose no health risk or physical debiltation, an otherwise completely healthy baby.

Yes, I would love he or she the same . All that doesn't matter. The babies health is the most important thing. And, maybe when he or she got older I'd let them make up their own mind about having them removed or whatever.

Bless You.

Love it all the same, but probably would have the extra digit removed, and it can usually be done just by tying a string around the base of the extra digit and eventually it will fall off

If they worked like a normal then I would definitely keep them, if the extras were just useless nubs then I would have them removed for practical reasons.
If the kid grew up and wanted them removed then that can be done at any point so it would be their decision but I think that if they were just a deformity with no purpose I cant see that it would benefit him/her to keep them.
Saying that, I dont have kids and I dont know the risks of a surgery like that for a wee kid, so I'd have to weigh it up under medical advice.
EDIT:
Oh yeah if all was good and we kept them, I'd buy the wee one a kicking rad 7 string guitar. Show him/her that it's something special and extra.

Well, if it was easy to have them surgically removed and it would pose no health threat, I would do it for the future of his/her being teased incessently.

If society would accept a 24-digited human being, then I'd keep them there.

I would never put the baby through any harm that wasn't needed, so i'd let it live its life with the extra digits (easier to count at a young age :D) and if it wanted to have them cut off when the baby was older, it would be fine as it is the babys choice, not ours :D

my daughter was born with 6 fingers on each hand a extra lil pinkie next to the pinkie, I had them removed when she was old enough to notice and say something about it. She was eight years old. She was a healthy baby just came with a few extras. their was no health risk we did it for cosmetic.

I would have that removed. There is enough bullying at school for so many reasons, why would I have my child ridicule and tortured from some bastard child all because he/she has extra digits? No way. I would have them removed when they that child is a baby, and that would be that.

Hi, Sammie!
Well, if there were detrimental health hazards as a result, ABSOLUTELY. However, if the chances were not "life/health threatening,"as it were, I would consider the x-tra digits an asset, not a liability. Reason? He/She could probably do things us "10 digiteers" could not! Besides.... when one looks on the bright side, "Variety IS the Spice of Life!

How does that ring yer' bells? (LOL)
Let me know,

Accept the extra digits. No way would I put a child through any type of medically unnecessary surgery.

I'd have them removed asap to prevent future problems from the child's piers later in life. Kids these day will slap a label on someone they feel superior over in a sec.
