Would we all have a more balanced view of this world and not one horribly distorted by a hidden agenda?

Absolutely ! There's always the Ying and the Yang but TV and newspapers go full on with the Ying (or is it the Yang?) hence we believe everything in this world is bad.

For example, for every 'bad' teenager, there are no doubt 10 good ones (probably more than that) and look at Soaps - anguished story lines way outdo happy ones because hardship is seen to be more gripping.

Take a look at the media some time and count up all the stories. There is plenty of good news there. I know the news can be depressing in spots, but happy stories abound. It's just a matter of keeping a balance.

Besides, I've been in the media for 30+ years. If there's a push for a particular agenda, I've never gotten the memo.

recently i was all over the chicago news, the story was different between each station or newspaper, names were spelled wrong, details were different depending on when or where you looked, even my age was different 32,33,34 i am 33. i watch the news and listen to news radio on the drive, but since this, i realized to take everything on the news as just part of the truth and not believe anything verbatim.
as far as should they show more good news, its there if you look hard enough, but people pass over it to get to the juicy parts

Media is like religion, it is used to keep us from questioning what is really going on.
