Someone who will remain nameless as well as clueless made untrue and hateful comments about Romney's religion. So much for the first amendment.

If you talk to invisible people, you have no business holding public office.

It is a way to undermind Romney's candidacy. It is completely insincere for anyone to make some sort of claim that the mormon leadership might make him their puppet because if you look at his track record it isnt the most conservative. Harry Reid is also a mormon and noonne makes accusation against him being controlled by the church. He is the only republican candidate that is still with his first wife and has an incredibly strong family life with really no scandals in his past. It is just an excuse people use. Lie about his religion and it might make him look bad. A lot of people really dont know what mormons believe so using his religion is just and easy shot.

I am mormon and I dont really know if I want to vote for him becuase on some policies I think he is too liberal. I do know that if he is a temple recommend holder then he is living an exemplary moral life and it does score points for me that his personal value system is the same as mine. He has already made it very clear that he will uphold the rule of law even if it conflicts with his own personal beliefs. His voting records actually prove this too.

If you dont believe with his politics then dont play dirty and attack his personal beliefs.

It doesn't make much of a difference, but it is good to know that he has values and morals and will stand for something worthwhile in this country. So many are afraid to even say what they believe. Some people might :belong" to a religion, but never attend, or only attend for show, or not really have any ideals or sense of right and wrong.

So I like that Mitt is a Mormon, that he believe in God and wants to good continually.

I think it's actually a positive for him.

we should look at the person not the religion. Personally some of the best people I've ever met have been mormons, Judge Romney on his own merits, not what you think of his religion. but on the flip side, if it's a person that puts faith above common sense, well we've seen what happens with that and it's not good.

His religion does not make a difference. Harry Reid is a Mormon senator and you barely hear a word about it.

The religion issues is just ammo for the left wing liberals to use to dis Mr. Romney.

politics and religion are not really separate. how if one is an atheist? there has never been a female and/ or non-Anglo Saxon president ever elected in US history either. that may be trend for many decades to come!

It doesn't matter to me. If I choose vote for someone else it'll be on a more substantive issue. I can't vote just based on religeon. I've seen some of the people who go to my church and I would have my doubts as to how effective leaders they would be.

It shouldn't matter, unless he if, which want be, was elected President try to instill like Bush all this religion on everyone else and give his Mormon church all the money he could slip to them

Many Christians see Mormonism as a false religion, started by a false prophet. They also question why the Mormons have written their own doctrine.

Not at all, the fact he turned was elected to one of the most Liberal states in America Massachusetts. He finally balanced the Mass budget, and went after sanctuary cities like Cambridge and Fall River, he did a good job.
