I was wondering how to do a couple problems and i try doing them but i get lost! Somebody help me please with steps. Thank you :)
The first problem is 8(3-m)+7=47 i distrubited but i get some weird answer like 8m=33 what did i do wrong??
These are prolly easy but i dont get it i hate math!

24 - 8m + 7 = 47
Collect like tems
31 - 8m = 47
Transpose 31
31 - 8m - 3x = 47 - 31
- 8m = 16
Divide both sides of the equation by - 8
- 8m / - 8 = 18 / - 8
m = - 16/8
m = - 2

1.4 + .7x > 1.1x + 5/75
Transpose .7x
1.4 + .7x - .7x > 1.1x + 5.75 - .7x

1.4 - 5.75 > .4x + 5.75 - 5.75

- 4.35 > .4x
Divide both sides of the equatio by .4

You probably multiplied 8 and 7 as well, but here you got
Distribute
24 - 8m + 7 = 47
Simplify
31 - 8m = 47
-8m = 47-31
8m = -16
Solve

A = LM ? Seriously?
A/M = L
_________________
Treat the > as an = while solving for x.
Distribute
1.4+.7x > 1.1x + 5.75
Simplify
.7x > 1.1x + 4.35
0 > .4x + 4.35
-10.875 > x
Run with 20 and -20 to check.

8(3-m) = 40 Multiply
24 - 8m = 40 Subract 24 from both sides
-8m = 16 Divide by -8
m = -2
A=lm Divide by m
a/m = l
