Presently, I use a pumice stone which was sold to me by a pool store.What alot of unnecessary hard labor! There must be an easier solution. So far everything that I've been told to try has failed. Who knows what will work? Please no wives-tales!

Dude!

The reason that you have scaling on your pool is because your chemistry is not balanced correctly. This scaling is also damaging your pool equipment. A poorly balanced pool is a health hazard for your family. If you can't afford to pay someone to professionally clean and balance your pool.......

most vinegars will work, if you have drained the pool use a lime/scale remover, then you can flush it down the drain,

If you can drain the pool, use apple cider vinager! It works well on lime build up!!!!!!
