It's supposed to come from the Bible, but I've never actually seen it in there, but anyway, I think you're right, that is pretty stupid, because who was it that said that pants are supposed to be only for a man?

The Bible verse you are looking for is Deuteronomy 22:5, "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God." Since I believe it is the Word of God, I do not think it is "stupid." I know some may argue about it's interpretation, but I agree with those who interpret it conservatively and chose to always wear skirts and dresses. I haven't worn pants of any kind since I was 16, and I'm 23 now.

All rules like that come from men. It's easier to check out a womans form in a pair of pants and some men cant control themself, so lets just make them wear a big old dress to cover up.

I think it is sad. I saw a trading spouses show with my roomie where these two little girls cried when their new mom tried to get them to wear pants for a day. They said Jesus wants women to wear dresses it is in the bible. We want to be ladies not men. Can anyone please show me where that was in the bible and why the heck it is such a big deal to wear pants for a day?

It started ages ago when women had little rights, and men thought they should dress for gender differential. Then later women slacks were designed differently like with side zippers or bottons. Still today some folk *(men and women) think that some distinction should be in place for women's slacks. I personally don't see the point...

I only wear pants lately.
I wonder if whomever made that up had a problem
