He doesn't fear jail time, he cannot go to jail.

I just listened to the tape, he never denied the feet touching, but I do find it odd because he denied solicitation. He also sounded VERY surprised that the officer claimed his left hand (he would have had to reach over his body) was under the stall.

I can see why he pled guilty, he did not want to go to court bec. of what the media would have done. He tried to make it go away as quickly as possible.

Heck, I got a ticket for something I didn't do in TX (I wasn't even in TX), but I didn't want to have to fly there and deal with the court, so I pled guilty to get it done.

I don't know if he is lying but some things just don't add up on both sides of the story.

There will be no jail time. He already plead guilty to the crime and paid his fine.

If you look at his record, reports of him being gay have been around for the last 25 years or so. I've never seen any hard proof of it, but based on that, the arrest, guilty plea and the fact he didn't tell anyone about this, I think he is lying.

Sure, I think he is lying. He is trying to save himself by pleading guilty to a lesser charge (why they should give him that option, I don't know). He man, by all accounts, was trying to establish sexual contact with another man (the sting officer). No mistaking that. The officer didn't lie. But the Senator, so accustomed to lying, is trying it again.

I do believe he is and that is why more and more of the details are starting to emerge (to counter his assertions). He is in way over his head now, and is commencing his walk down the plank.

I don't really care. He's not going to get re-elected and might even step down. Either way, its a distraction from real news.

I thought he plead guilty to this nonsense?
