Before voting machines, the hand-count process was just as open to error and corruption. Eventually, voting machines will be certifiably secure....but I doubt it will happen while Republicans run the show.

come on - don't read all the press and believe everything you hear - what about prior to 8 yrs ago? just because FLA screwed up doens't mean the entire vote machine is broken... and think about it- would you really have liked Gore as our president?

The electronic voting machines are a big problem, but not as big a problem as the millions of legal votes, largely minority votes, that are systematically thrown out by Republican operatives. Check out Greg Palast's new book, Armed Madhouse.

no to mention Florida rushing its primaries? Shouldnt someone check there voting machines before saying that its okay for them to move them.

voting machines can only be hacked if they are hooked up the internet or not properly monitored. it eliminates a lot of voter fraud too, like double voting.
