We have been through deployments before. I want to be able to do something that will really make a statement.

Write him on a regular basis and send pictures of yourself (nice ones) and of his family and TELL him that you miss him and that you LOVE him and that you MISS him and most of all that your are WAITING for him to come home to you. Tell him how you would like you both to plan your future together. Tell him you are keeping busy working or going to school to better yourself so that you will have a close relationship when he returns. God bless you both and I pray for his safe return to you.

I can only tell you that a person living & working in the middle east can be very lonely & distracting....so many men here have wives here and wives back home....what more girlfriends!
So be sure you always get to talk and see each other via webcam. Frequent communication is the key because from there you can also sense his wanting to talk to you.
I am in the middle east right now & have made it a point to have a live chat very week with my fiance.
It's really trying to sustain a long distance relationship...we've been at it for 2 years now.But love is strong a& we are getting married this December :-)
As for a creative & sentimental way of showing ur love?Show him something you've done to prepare for your upcoming togetherness /wedding, send him something which you know he will love via air cargo, ask him what he really wants right now, and if he says...you....fly off and visit him for even a week....good luck!

Your problem will be when he comes home. My man came home from Vietnam a totally different person and eventually lost him to Agent Orange. Check and see if there is a support group to get you ready and teach you some things you need to prepare yourself for. My prayers go out to you and wish you the best of luck!!

Go to fitness. Send him letters every 2-3 days. Send him something nice in the boxes.

Be faithful, remind him how much you miss him and that you're thinking about him, and throw in a little bit about what you're going to do to welcome him home.
