Also, does anyone know what effect air pressure would have on electrical sparks/ lightning?

Not entirely sure, but since heat involves more energy, i would think that a decrease in temperature would cause the energy to be released in another way, possibly through electrical charge (lightning), and high air pressure means molecules are closer together, which leads me to think that high pressure air would conduct better. I could be wrong, this is just from my basic understanding of physics and energy.

Mostly likely in hot weather, since the air can be more unstable than cold weather.
