Chicago
You got waterfront and the beach to the east right downtown.
You got the best pizza (and tons of other great ethnic food), whatever food your heart (your stomach & your taste buds) desires, just find the appropriate neighborhood and feast up!
You also have cultural places to go like The Museum of Science & Industry, The Adler Planetarium, The Shedd Acquarium, Navy Pier and plenty of indoor or outdoor music venues/concert halls, great Chicago Blues, Jazz, Rock, Classical, 2nd City TV, Rush Street, 5-star hotels & more
All of it available right downtown, or a short "L" ride around the Loop to anywhere else you want to go.
Oh, and then you have Da Bears, Da Cubbies & the ChiSox too!

Amsterdam. Stunningly beautiful with canals, windmills, flowers, trees and parks. An eclectic population of 700,000 people with 173 nationalities. Lots to do such as shopping, museums, sightseeing, or take advantage of the exciting nightlife. It's no wonder 15 million people visit per year.

Depends, if you want to live somewhere with good weather most of the time year round, you go to the Bay Area in California. That's where I live. The worst thing that can happen here are earthquakes. =]
