If it is diabetes, you'll have to modify your diet, exercise regularly, and maybe have to measure and correct your blood sugar levels.

None of this is the end of the world, but make sure you follow the directions of your dr. because untreated gestational pregnancy can lead to seriously large babies (the sugar your body can't process gets sent to the baby. Sugar is a growth hormone for little babies.)

Congratulations on your pending arrival!!!

Having too high or too low a blood sugar will both affect your baby - but in different ways...and during pregnancy it is usually too high blood sugar that is the problem

Wait till you get your test results back but you might have gestational diabetes, it can be controlled via diet and exercise but sometimes if your sugar levels are way too high over all they will put you on insulin (then low blood sugar is also a factor) but your doctor will set you up with a diabetic nutritionist to help you figure out what to eat (or not to eat) and what not - don't worry lots of women go through this including me - diet and exercise are a huge help in controlling blood sugars so start walking after you eat, and eat lower carb food - drink lots of water and only drink diet soda's. lemonades, ice teas - avoid juice

Good luck hope all goes well
