i always say this. how hard is it not to get married they know from the beginning that they will not be faithful. i also hate when people say that their boyfriend or girlfriend has cheated on them. just break up. there is no ties what so ever, just break up and then sleep with who ever you want to sleep with. also the little kids getting heart broken over cheating what kind dumb c$^p is this.

I agree with you totally. Some people marry because of money or they want children. They don't care about the spouse as long as they are happy. Once they feel or think they need or want someone else. The vows they took mean nothing. They figure is cheaper or more convenient to stay married and cheat. Rather than divorcing and starting over.

This is not a bad question, but it's not a good question. You presume that people knew before they got married that something in life would come in the way of one of the partners to cause unfaithfulness. Only a 'jerk' as so many people like to call the unfaithful would get married knowing that he/she will cheat. Most people probably never thought they would be in the situation. Hope you are never in the situation yourself, to be in a position of being unfaithful, it's a tough feeling. *And to anser the poster above, yes, those people will and do answer the question*

Because "having sex with only one person for the rest of your life" might not be THE only or THE main reason to be married. There are lots of other reasons why one would prefer being married or being in a relationship to being single, and most of them have absolutely nothing to do with sex.

Best. Question. Ever.

That's why I don't think I'm going to get married. I'd have to really, REALLY, trust someone to get into something so reckless. Live together indefinitely, if it's meant to be, common law will eventually take effect.

Simple reasons for many; First there are plenty of open marriages where fidelity is not expected, at least physical fidelity and then second people mis-judge their abilitity or desire to be monagamous to the person that they married.

That's a good question. I wish people would take it into account before ruining someone else's life.
