Ok I'm going to start from bottom to top.
Ok for shoes wear flats. Maybe some nice white/silver/black ones :)
For the bottom wear a jean mini skirt. I prefer light wash because their nicer ;)
For a top wear maybe a cami layered over a cami or a nice T
For accesorries wear a beaded necklace that matches your flats and earing thats match your top :)

Since you have already decided on denim shorts, add a bright blue or turquoise blue top, with a matching band/scrunchie/barette, and silver earrings and bracelet.
Add comfy shoes to dance in.
TIP: along with toothbrushing, mouthwash, etc., put on extra antiperspirant - along bra band, down middle of back, even a bit on your neck.[ rub in well ] THEN apply perfume or powder, including feet.

A polo with some jean bremuda shorts flats sandals or ballerina shoes straighten hair so you can put up or down if no straightner was blow dry straight. There really not dressy and dancy like lol
