This was a pretty Cheesy 80's film, but scared me as a kid.

...oh, yes indeed!!! I definitely remember "The Children", having originally seen the film at the drive-in, and at one of the grimy & decrepit downtown Los Angeles grindhouse movie theaters way back in 1980...

...I remember the school bus ominously cruising along down the road, and into that spooky yellow cloud; I remember the bus having been discovered further down the road, devoid of the school kids it was supposed to be carrying. And I remember the wide-eyed zombified kids, with arms outreaching...their blackened fingernails...waiting to embrace an unsuspecting adult, a loving action that would end up in a burnt-to-a-crisp demise...

...the only thing I couldn't figure out, was why the kids couldn't be killed by bullets, but were ultimately killed by having their hands cut off...Go Figure!!!

...a bit of trivia, to keep in the back of your head; famous horror film music score composer Harry Manfredini did the music for "The Children", right before he went headlong into horror movie history, by composing the original motion picture soundtrack of the original "Friday the 13th"...

Is that the one where all the kids are blonde? Think I've seen it. Mine was American Werewolf in London - scared the pants off me as a kid
