i am going to my cousins very small wedding to take pictures. Just the bride and groom and thier parents. i have a lavender dress very spring like, with a little bit of white & lavender flowers on it . i have a pair of real cute open toed black heels, should i not wear black mwith this dress? i think it looks ok but need another opinion.

No, that will take away some of the spring effect.
Suggest you purchase a pair of silver, gold, or nude [ your skin color ] strappy heeled sandals - they will go with all dressy outfits. Get a clutch purse to match if you can - you'll be setfor all occasions.
I would wear blacks shoes with all navies, grays, blacks, and brights - but not browns or pastels. If you have black and dark brown dress shoes, they are great for church, clubs, and dark dresses.

I don't think so. I wouldn't wear black heels with the dress. I would find some white ones for sure.

It would be O.K. but you should wear some white heels then it would bring out the white flowers in the dress.

It would look okay, but it sounds like you have a very summery dress and your shoes should be lighter. Do you have any brown open toe shoes or silver?

I would wear white shoes since the dress is a ligther color and has white in it. And its summer.

such a light dress i think should be worn with more open shoes, preferably a nice pair of white sandals

no i think it wouldn't go very well.
maybe a white shoe or lavender or even a silver color, but not black.
