In another way of asking this question...I'd like to know the flexability I'll get with games if I am using 128 Mb video card. The game calls for 512 I think. Any Help?

There are 2 types of memory in a computer. System Memory which is to run Windows and programs from. This should be at least 1 GB in an XP machine 2 GB for Vista.
The other memory is the Video Memory which is used with your video card. Modern games require at least 128MB video memory 256 MB recommended. What you are seeing is the game minimum is 512 MB System and recommends 1 GB to play the game. Recommends 128 MB Video Card Memory. More Video Memory the better Quality Picture.
I don't know of any games yet requiring 512 MB Video Memory, that was System Memory.

Your question reveals that you know very little. Memory and space are two different things even though Windows can use space as virtual memory - it is still not the same. I suggest you start out by going to the library and taking out "Computers for Dummies". Once you understand the basics you won't need to post questions like the above.

I don't think you really know what you need. Look up the word "megabyte", or better yet, look up the word "bit", try looking up RAM (random access memory) too while you're at it.
