Well, there are quite a couple, and it always depends on your point of view of "poorly"!

For one example: Guns 'n Roses. Was a really good band for the time it lasted, most will tell you it's dead now, and quite frankly...they're right! But the many different attempts of come back made by Axl Rose during the late 90's and early 00's were just, to me at least, pathetic.

Queen, one of my favourite band, started off kickin', but kept on adding more and more cheesy electronic stuff with each passing years to a point were it was more computer playing than actual instruments. Some really good stuff came out of these years, don't get me wrong, but I think all in all alot more good songs came out when they were more rock then pop.

Goldfinger's firsts albums (up until Stomping Ground) were really cool but it's like they gave everything they had for the firsts ones and then just ran out of juice!

Korn as soften out and became more and more commercial with the years.

Like every other band, when you take out the hungry factor, the music often (if not always) suffer from it. When a band's just starting out, they're hungry, most of the time, they've been battling their way to succes and are ready and usualy have lot's of material behind them. As the years pass and they're getting more and more succes, suddenly the will, need and power of making really good songs kind of fades away. Very few bands/artists have been able to maintain a high level of quality through out their carrer.

There's also the eternal trap of not wanting to seclude your self in ONE type of music or canvas that will have you always sounding the same. Then the big thing is being able to evolve without changing TOO much or suddently sounding like sell outs. It's a very hard thing.......trust me, I know what I'm talking about!!!

Cheers!
