Get to the root of what is causing you the stress. If it is job related, you need to sort out the aspect of the job that is very very stressful. If absolutely nothing can be done, quit the job because the income will never be able to pay for the ill effects of stress.
If it has something to do with relationships, again this must be discussed. Sometimes differences can not be settled, but the process of discussing and ventilating relieves people of stress.
Most of the time, stress is self-inflicted. Like when we get angry over small things (like trolls in YAP). If there is some awareness that it is you causing yourself stress, then that is a good start to change how we view things. If this is difficult to do without outside help, then seek an anger management professional. A shrink.
In any case, learn to observe yourself. And keep in mind that you should not sweat over the small stuff.
Yoga and meditation techniques help a lot. But start with your attitude towards things. Towards life itself.

No way to overcome stress Adam. A person has to develop skills to manage it.
Stress is not all bad either. When managed properly stress can lead to higher productivity and creativity.

By unwinding at the end of the day. Forget work as soon as you leave the office door. Once you get home, you become a private person so do your private thing in the privacy of your own turf. Tomorrow is another day.

when i get too stressed, I try to mentally put everything into a pile, then I pull one thing out of the pile at a time and deal with it til I'm done. I tried burning the pile but it made my head hurt.

I smoke the green stuff and it has worked for me for years.
It's not for everyone but I do think everyone should give it a try sometime and find out.
