Adding an additional female betta should be fine in a 5 gallon tank. Sometimes the females get a little attitude problem with each other, but they generally get along together just fine.

Sorry, but you can keep only 1 betta in a 5 gallon tank

Even 2 females will fight each other, because one will dominate the other

If you want to get more females, you will need to get at least 3 of them as well as a 10 gallon tank
Whereas you can keep up to 5 femalses with lots of liveplants as well as 3-4 cory cats (bottom) dweller

What you can put in your tanks is
4 neon tetras
2-3 applesnails
and live plants

But that's really it

Hope that helps
good luck

Female bettas are fine together as long as you have plants and places to hide. I have my three in a 10 gallon and everyone is getting along so far. As long as you follow the 1 inch of fish per gallon rule then you should be ok.

Yes, that should be fine. 1 betta needs at least 2.5 gallons to itself, so 2 female bettas should be fine. Make sure to include lots of hiding places for it to hide in if it feels threatened.

Yes, though you'll have to monitor your betta's reaction to another one. Overall, it should be fine, but they're also known to form a "pecking order" and on might bully the other to establish its alpha position, so its recommended to keep 3+ female bettas.

Be prepared to remove one from the other if aggressive fighting occurs!

go for it, the tank is big enough, and the females aren't aggresive, so they'll be safe.

No you can't couse they will fight to the you will have to flush one or return one so get a bigger tank and then they will be ok. They only fight couse they wont their territorie. they only fight other bettas so be welcome to get a different sort of fishy :D so it will cost you about
........$20 and $7 to get the fish and the new tank.

And i'm sorry you can't get a fish unless you get a bigger tank
