I agree that they aren't country, but then neither is 90% of what is discussed on this forum.
I'm a big boy, I can take the thumbs down, but an overwhelming majority of the acts discussed here are pop music. Boots and a hat do not make it country music and never will.

These artists, record labels, radio stations have managed to find a way to market pop music as country. They do it for one reason-money.

So its not surprising that artists from other genres are attempting to get on the gravy train.

They are not country music. Kid Rock had a duet with some chick, and that plays on country stations. It's not country. I will accept Bon Jovi's duet with Jennifer Nettles, but he's not country, either. It's as bad as people saying the Dixie Chicks are good singers. What a load of crap.

Bon Jovi on has like 2 songs on the country station and kid rock only has one...

One of Bon Jovi's songs is a duet w/ a country artist...i have no clue why kid rocks song is there....

Anyway, if you dont like it get over it...those two only represent the minority of country music

I don't even listen to modern country anymore. It's a joke. They just don't make good music anymore. It's sad because I'm sure there are awesome traditional country singers out there, but the music industry won't allow us to hear them on mainstream radio. We should boycott the music stations and quit buying that stupid pop/country crap. Good luck. 2D

That isn't anything even close to REAL country music. This is why I listen to a country station that won't play that crap. When they realized they were washed up in Rock they should've just retired to the Keith Richards retirement home for the Do It Yourself brain impaired.

Yeah, it makes me like to vomit. I wished they'd play good music again on the radio, like Hank Williams!

You're so right. Do you also notice the cookie cutter female singers? All pretty much sound the same, look the same, etc. Years from now, you won't remember their names.
