The personal misery of another gay, who happens to be a successful republican politician? Look at all the jokes in here. All the stereotyping. These are the tolerant democrats, and they are supposed to be above all of that. I don't expect anyone to out their self, but I would like reactions, please.

I wonder this too. If Democrats want to attack another corrupt Republican, that's fine. If they want to denounce his pervert acts, I agree. But I've seen many attack him on the basis of his sexual orientation, and attack all Republicans in this matter. They even go as far to speculate that all Republicans were like this. That's where I get confused, weren't they supposed to be the party of tolerance? Fortunately for them, it seems mostly the low-life supporters are doing this. If their higher level media counterparts were, I could imagine a mass exodus of homosexuals from the Democratic party for their equally hypocritical stance towards gays.

I am gay and a Democrat. As a Democrat I am delighting in the exposed lies and hypocrisy of a of a lawmaker that has actively sought to strip me of my rights.

As a gay man, I have no sympathy for self-hating closet cases engaging in anonymous sex.

As an American, I am ashamed that generations of intolerance toward homosexuality created the atmosphere where people of Craig's generation feel that this is how their game must be played.

You're viewing it through the prism of a conservative. Dem's aren't criticizing Craig because he is attracted to men. We're criticizing him because of the lies and the hypocrisy of his previous position related to gay issues.
Also a lot of people, both gay and straight, are amused at the bizarre reality of the whole situation. At the same time it's tragic that this man had to live a lie, a lie forced on him by his political party. No democrat is criticizing him because he is apparently gay, which is what the republicans are chastising him for.

That line isn't going to work this time any more than it did with Mark Foley.

The point is not Craig's sexual preferance. He was caught breaking the law--and admitted it pleading guilty. He is a hypocrite who made a big noise about his non-existant "family values."

The apologists for the right-wing tried the same line with Foley. But the issue was his pedophelia--out of a man who claimed to be protecting children. And they tried it with Hagggard--but the issue was his violation of the drug laws, prostitution laws--and his hypocrisy at claiming to be a leader of "family values" as a preacher of God's Word.

Trying to say liberals are gay bashing WILL NOT WORK. Because we aren't. These scum are corrupt perverts. End of story.

Oh, get over yourself. You know this has nothing to do with "tolerance." No Democrat gives a damn if he's gay or not. It's the lying and hypocrisy that matters. If he would just come out and admit it, everyone would respect him more. Every time people like you try to use this "intolerant liberal" angle you just prove you don't understand what's going on.

What a load of lies piled on top of lies.

What Democrats are taking delight in is the fact that a man who made a career out of attacking gays and denying them rights has been exposed as a fraud.
It has nothing to with his being gay or not being gay.

It has everything to with his,and the GOP's,blatant, constant moral and political hypocrisy.

I bet the homosexual men and women are shaking their heads in disgust at craig. he claims to be "family values" and is a well known, vocal homophobe, then he gets busted cruising for gay sex in a men's room. Why can't you con cowards be honest about who and what you are?

The Senatro Craig scandal isn't about being gay. It's about lying and soliciting sex in a men's room. Not quite the same thing now is it?

Actually, they are the ones doing the most laughing at Senator Craig's gross hypocrisy.

Sorry to burst your bubble there, bub. But the gay/lesbian community knew a while back that Craig was a closeted homosexual.

His poor judgement of using a public bathroom for his encounters, is what doomed him.

Nothing wrong with someone being a homosexual, its a little disturbing, however, that this man lied to his constituency time & time again and was finally caught for SOLICITING SEX ACTS in a mens bathroom.
