Two pitches were up and in, if he was going to hit Youkilis wouldnt he just drill him on the first pitch?
Stupid.
Plus he didnt even get a warning, he was just ejected.

It was a stupid call. the umpire was watching another game or something. joba just lost control for two pitches. if he wanted to hit him he would have done that in the first two pitches.

More like star this question if you don't follow baseball...I don't care what team it is you can't throw two fastballs in a row at a guys head and not get tossed...plus you don't need a warning to get ejected...it is a judgment call by the ump...what the warning does is tells a guy he is definitely getting ejected if he throws at someone...if an ump feels he was throwing at him intentionally he can throw him out without warning. It was a good call by the ump...and a stupid move on Joba's part in a 5-0 game...he shouldn't even have been close to pitching inside.

I agree ,why would the ump eject someone when the ball is like 2 feet above his head. The guy is 21 years old and his still got lots to learn, but he isn't stupid enough to miss twice if he was going to hit him. he at least needed a warning after the first pitch.
But atleast we got the sweep Yankees rule

I totally agree! This is insane!
Joba, who is a rookie, trying to prove himself in the big leagues. He was trying to get an out, not hit Youkilis.

I just saw the score and Joba's interview. Boy this rivalry is getting good. :)...I think that the ump's just want to keep this and any other heated playoff races under control for the rest of the season.

It was completely uncalled for. I can only suspect that that umpire hasn't thrown anyone out in a while and was waiting for the slightest excuse to toss someone.
We all know Joba is a good kid.

i agree with you but sadly i dint watch the game dam it i was at school which totally sucks going back well he dint and i think getting ejected like that without a warning was dumb but i don't he will get a suspension what happened happened lets move on
