I have PCOS, have used met, at 2550mg per day, for years. I have done several rounds of clomid ranging from 50mg up to 250mg.
I did not ovulate at 50mgs, 100mgs, 150mgs, but finally did at 250. The side effects really didn't get any worse as the dose went up. When I finally O'd at 250, I would O for 2 consecutive cycles, and the third was always a bust. Then I would have to use birth control for a cycle to supress my ovaries and try again at 250. My RE then dropped me back down to 150 and added dexamethasone--a steroid-for 10 days. I did O on this combo as well and got pg once, but lost it. But the steroids made me gain weight so I stopped it as well.
My RE told me the next step would be Femara in place of the Clomid or injectables.

thats my story.i have pcos and hypothyroidism. i have been on metformin for about 3 years. i took clomid at 50mg and did not ovulate.

then next month i took 100mg and did not ovulate.

my dr. will waste no time and put me on hsg injections. i never thought it would be this hard to have a baby. its been a journey i tell u. then once i am pregnant that will be another journey.

i can't wait to get pregnant. i have been married for 5 years. you can say we have been having unprotected sex for 6 years and nothing has happened for us. we just started seeing a fertility dr. earlier this year. so it should be very soon, soon as in 3 weeks. lol
