It has nothing to do with your weight, some women just have heavier flows. You might try the pads they advertise with wings to help with any fear of leakage. Also, you should review your menstrual history. Has it always been heavy or has the bleeding increased lately? If you have noticed changes, you might need to make an appointment with your Gynecologist to make sure that it isn't being caused by Fibroids or Endometriosis. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Always makes a pad with wings for sizes 14 and up... I believe they come in an orange package. I use the longest overnights with wings just because it gives me a better feeling of security. Not so much about weight but when you get a sudden gush (sorry if that's gross) you can't always guarantee which way it will go.

I am also having this problem. The only resolution I have had has been to use a combination of tampons and pads. There are hospital style pads available at Walgreens. They aren't "stylish" in pants but they work.

I am not sure which brand it is, but they have pads for sizes 14 and up. Also, using 2, with wings, helps. I don't use tampons anymore because I have started passing more clots (with age) Looking forward to menopause!!

i think this is not a problem with only heavy people it happens to all of us. when i get my period i tend to bleed very heavily. what i do is i use tampons, and i also use the overnight big pads.i use 2 of them one toward the front and one towards the back. i know its uncomfortable feels like you are wearing a diaper but this is the only way i feel confident. also i try to wear loose and dark clothing just in case.hope this helps

When I gained weight I started using the longer pads. 'Always' has sanitary napkins that say 'long' look for a blue bag with a green bar.

well i am the same way maybey you should see a dr about the heaviness of your flow. he might perscribe premerin- a drug thats used to lighten the flow. you may also have fibroids which could cause severe bleeding as well. either way see a dr. and as always good luck

my aunt stopped using sanitary napkins and switched to incontinence products, they seem to be less likely to leak.
