I used a DNA-shaped device to ascend from the first floor to the second...it had flat, wooden footholds and a handrail for easy navigation. Remarkable device, really. I can descend by repeating the process in reverse.

Imagine a strand of DNA, big enough for you to step on each rung, placed in a house for the purpose of travelling between the upper and lower stories. We could make it out of wood, or metal. Hmmm....what shall we call it?
