The melting point of structural steel is 2600 Degrees F.

However at a temperature of 800 Deg F, the steel loses about 27% of it's design strength.

At 1000 Deg F it has lost 45% of it's design strength, and at 1200 deg F it has lost 63% of it's design strength.
