I must say I was not expecting a sweep...by either team...I guess they are archrivals for a reason...The Yankees seem to be hot right now...I hope...and think the Red Sox will pull it together long enough to take the division...When they're on, they still have the best team in baseball...from Dave and Manny's bats to Beckett and Dice K on the mound...and most of the time, Schilling...

If anyone says they honestly thought a sweep by either team would happen they are lying...I am really still not concerned because the Red Sox (unless they have a 9th inning miracle) will still have a 5 game lead. Also, the Yankees always step up their play against the Red Sox....I bet the Yankees don't sweep the D-Rays. Red Sox will still win the East...right now this series means nothing except bragging rights for Yankee fans...we still have the lead where it counts...I give credit to the Yankees though...their pitching really stepped it up this series...I am impressed.

From A.M. Jump on ESPN Page 2: "You've lost two straight to the Yankees! One of them thanks to a homer from Johnny "Judas" Damon! Another thanks to Roger Clemens! This is it … it's 1978 all over again. Here we go! Welcome to Year 3 of the next 86-year curse. For the love of god, just start focusing on the Patriots, for your own sanity. OK, now let's look at the actual numbers … your team has the best record in baseball, they're still six games up in the AL East, and they only have nine games remaining against teams over .500 the rest of the season. That should pretty much answer your question, "How come that Page 2 poll had 32 percent of sports fans thinking we're so obnoxious?"

its not so much that i am worrying as we still have a good cushion...its more that its humiliating! geesh....they could have saved some of their runs vs. white sox so they would have some for these games! argh! and its that whole inconsistent thing that the red sox are so good at....of course...the yankees are good at it too!!!!

Dude, I was worrying when they were 14 games up. Now I'm really worried, and my stress levels are way up.
Well, maybe the Sox can still get the Wild Card.
