Do you think campaigns like "Rock the Vote" and "Vote or Die" actually influence the youth and non-voters of America to vote in the elections?

I suspect that such campaigns only attract teens who are already interested in the issues and thus already voting.

Of course, teens are very susceptible to peer pressure, so it's possible that it might drag in some voters if they have close friends who are active in the movement. But that's about it, I think.

I would love to see some statistics, but my gut says no. I have seen interviews with younger people where they were behind these rally but then didn't vote.

My hope is that it will eventually inspire potential voters to educate themselves AND vote. Hopefully one day.

It can't hurt and I believe that it has made a difference but I don't know how much. We need everyone voting. It is our constitutional right!

Yes it does, younger people see someone they admire telling them to get out and vote chances are they'll at least consider it even if they don't.
if 100 more people consider it, that should be at least 1 more who decides to do so.

I don't think so. Simply put: Americans are intelligent voters. They need no incentives or inducements to make them exercise their right to vote.

Nope. If people don't feel like voting there is little you can do to get them to register and go to the polls.....
