I just delivered my baby girl last week August 22, 2007 When am I going to receive my babys social security?

Congrats! I received the SSN cards for each of mine 2 weeks after they were born. It doesn't take the whole 17 weeks the paper says. It shouldn't take more than 2-3 weeks according to my friends' babies and mine.

You can't get a reliable answer because it varies from state to state. In my state, Louisiana, it takes 4-6 MONTHS. No i'm not kidding, and I had my twin girls July 30, 2007 and thats the info that had on the birth letter. Just use the birth letter if you need to provide verification for something, they shouldn't expect a social security number from a new born this early anyway.

Is the baby going to work now? There is no rush. It depends on how busy the Social Security Administration is now. I would say that you should get her SS number within two or three months from the date of application.

Well I recieved mine about a month after. Sometimes it may take a little longer, but I would go with anywhere from 3-6 weeks. If longer than that, contact your social security administration!

assuming you are asking about when you will receive her social security card. it usually comes within 4-6 weeks after birth. they mail it to your home.
