A couple of examples from me:
Putting petrol in the car - nothing to do with the cost
Making my packed lunch, to take to work
Washing my hair and many more besides!!

What tasks do you find necessary but very tiresome?

It ain't just you - I am exactly the same - I thought it was just me. Like you I hate putting petrol in the car and it isn't the money factor it's just the fact you have to do it. I always make a pact to take sandwiches to work but never manage it. I hate washing my hair and having a shower - I see it as a chore not a pleasure.
I hate cleaning the house and usually let it build up into chaos and they spend my whole weekend cleaning and tidying - each time I vow to keep on top of it but can never manage to!
Walking the dog - even though the reason I got him was to get out in the fresh air more!
I just can't stay on top of anything in my life!

it is the thought of them more than the actions, your mind is ahead to the next best thing which could be done. I hate stopping for petrol it somehow interfers with my life, silly I know. Washing up or emptying dishwasher is a bind, I just want to sit down after I made a meal, then can't be bothered before going to bed. But there are somethings which I must do and never feel bothersome even when very tired, like cleaning teeth and feeding dogs.

I actually had this conversation with my sister recently.
Taking off make up
Straightening hair
Hair washing
Getting dressed
Even showering (don't worry, I wash everyday, but it's still dull)
Waiting at the bus stop!!!! - Prob the worst!!!!!!!!!
Texting - good fun, but sometimes annoying
Going to the loo - it's really boring and you miss out on conversation.
Even cooking dinner isn't that great - you're bound to miss part of a soap.
Hanging up / sorting out the washing

Oh my god, I could go on for ever..... how dull am i ???!

Vacuuming and hanging the washing.

I DO know where you're coming from with the putting petrol in the car thing though! WHY do I always leave it until I'm down to the dregs?!?!

Oh - and cleaning the cat litter out - it only takes a minute but I have to REALLY motivate myself to do that!

It all depends on you're perspective, and how you allow yourself to take things. You can take those mundane tasks as the worst thing in the world, or you can take them as a time to remain productive and give your mind a rest at the same time. That's what I do, it makes things much more tolerable, and I remind myself, that those moments spent doing those things might not be what I'd rather be doing, but I'm glad I'm getting paid.

Ummm...washing my clothes, washing my car, cleaning the house, paying bills, paying taxes, obeying the speed limit, fixing meals, working, basically anything that I do not consider fun. I wish life could be all play and no work.

Any tasks can be boring. You just have to realize that some things just have to be done and do it as quickly as you can. Find ways to make it not so boring.ex. listening to music, talk to a friend on the phone etc

A zen master said:

"Before I found enlightenment, I chopped wood and fetched water. After enlightenment, I chopped wood and fetched water"

It's called life, get over it.

P.S. I feel the same way sometimes, but you just have to deal with it.

Dahlink...Mundane is just a part of life. No matter how I perceive necessity, it still exists.
