is it expensive for a burger to cost 8.80, french fries 3.80, salads from 14 to 20 bucks? or there are cheaper places? (not fast food though)
it's how things cost in 'P.J. Clarke's'.

It's all about quality and quantity. Fast food restaurants don't always serve you food hot off the grill and you can't add special items in your food like avocados. They probably serve you a lot of fries at that price. Salads are usually at least twice the sides at a regular restaurant and their ingredients are fresh and not from a bag that's been sitting in the refrigerator.

I hope that burger is hand massaged sirloin beef or better, house made bun, fresh dressings and trims. The serving of fries should be huge, and the salads are on the high side, unless they are expected to be an entire meal!
I'd pay those prices if the food is worth it, but try a local spot where they cook as well but for less $.

Way too much
Chilis (where I work) charges 6.99 for burgers, 1.49-2.29 for fries, and no more than 8.99 for any of our salads. I still think our prices are high, but thats just plain ridiculous!

Ya-that's why If I want a large double cheeseburger w/bacon for a good deal, I go to a good fastfood joint. (8 bucks is the average price in most restaurants for a plain hamburger.)
