While my husband and I were contemplating divorce, I had an emotional affair. When my husband and I decided to work things out, I told him about the affair.

Recently, the man I had the affair with contacted me and I said, "I wish I hadn't told you anything about my feelings toward you" and he said, "No sweetheart, what you wish is that you didn't tell your husband."

When I asked him what he meant by this, he wouldn't answer, he just chuckled.

Ok, what do you think he meant?

If you really want to work things out with your husband, one thing you need to do is STOP rehashing and thinking about the affair and move forward with your husband. You also need to stop talking to the guy you had an affair with.

I think he believes that don't regret having feelings for him, but you regret the result of your husband knowing about it. If that's not the case than make it clear. If your staying with your husband than you need to stay away from this other guy.

I used to date married when I was younger and I discovered that what they wanted was to feel and implying things was a great way to confuse them which made them feel. The thing I would do was play with them like a yo-yo. "You should work on your marriage." (NEXT BREATH) "I want you."

What you man is doing is implying that you want he more than your husband. He is trying to make you do a yo-yo to yourself with him being what you want.

Confusion sucks, it also makes you feel. Good feels REAL GOOD and bad feels REAL BAD and naughty is just delicious.

The more confused he makes you the harder it is to do the right thing because everything just feels so good.

Sounds like he is playing a game. He seems to have a huge ego. Let him know that you are with the one you love and want to make it work, just go away.

He thinks you are just regretting telling your husband. He sounds like a real jerk anyway.

why does it matter? You need to completely detach yourself from this guy for your marriage. Who cares what he thinks? Don't let this guy mess w/ your mind anymore. Affairs are too complicated.

He thinks he knows you better than you know yourself! And since you confided in him, he feels that he is really the one you want to be with. Rejection is not a pleasant feeling to have to deal with! Leave him alone & build on your marriage.
