The strongest passwords are generated using a cryptographically strong PRNG. In other words: Completely random and the longer they are, the harder they are to break. But a password won't stop someone who has physical access to the hardware and tools that can bypass the password logic of the software running on that hardware.

The downside to extremely long, completely random passwords is that almost no one (including yourself) will remember them. So they'll end up written down somewhere...which mostly defeats the purpose.

For small objects like cell phone passwords, pick something only you will remember and use a combination of letters and numbers (individual words or 2-3 words that are smashed together are easily broken with a "dictionary attack"). Change the password once every 30-40 days for extra security.

You won't be able to prevent a serious hacker unless you use a good firewall program. On the other hand, if you want to deter casual snoops, your best bet is a password of at least 9 characters with a mix of letters and numbers. Also make sure you do not choose a word which can be found in the dictionary.

The most secure passwords are made up of Upper and Lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

Combine them. You can take a common word that means something to you, such as lollipop (for example) and do this:

L0ll!ep*p

One that has letters and numbers at least 6, 3 of each, less chance of them guessing with the combination. Not a birthday or anything like that. Ex: 735PLR

I use a USB Finger scan. This stores all my passwords and usernames. This lets me make a different password for each account and I make very random and hard to remember numbers and letters. I find this works best. You will be able to make complex passwords and no one else can get in to the drive. (unless they cut you finger off). Try it and I hope it helps ya out.

Something, like a secret of yours, that no one else will guess. Something like... Broccolihater404 or PsycoBookWorm. Try and use numbers and symbols. That can make your password really hard to guess.

16 characters with numbers, caps, lowers and special characters. For example:

JU$T1Na.k.aJU!C3

It's a lot stronger than abc123, password, qwerty, etc.

One that contains upper and lower case letters, and numbers. Be sure to keep a record of it someplace because if you lose it, you're sunk.
