Bleach works really well.. I have a spray bottle with 50/50 bleach and water and I spray the bathroom down... Just remove any colored towels, fabrics before doing so... I turn off the water valve to the toilet and pour acouple cups of bleach in the bowl and leave overnight... *just be sure to put a sign on the door that you have done this or if someone uses the toilet toxic gas will form ! I also use the same solution to clean my tub/tile surround and sinks/countertops.. With minimal scrubbing.. Your bathroom will smell like the city pool for a bit but, it will be clean/disenfectant.. Just remember to use the fan or open a window... good luck

We bought a condo with the most disgusting toilet. We tried everything, and the only thing that worked 100% for us was LYSOL Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner. Removed hard water stains and buildup, rust stains, etc. Squirt it in, let it sit for 15 minutes and then brush it with your toilet brush. Sparkly clean! No pumice stone necessary. Try it!

Tell me about it!!! We have hard water too and it is a constant battle.

Here are a few suggestions that might help you:

Swish out the toilets EVERY morning.
Put about 1/2 cup of bleach in each toilet every morning. Let it sit.
Scrub out with a cleanser such as Comet.
One of my friends uses WD-40 (I kid you not)
Check with a cleaning service and find out what they use. Maybe they will let you buy the product through them.

I wish you well.

The best and cheapest way to clean your toilet is to pour a can of coke into the water and let it sit for a couple of hours and flush. I promise your toilet will look like new.

Get some gloves and a Pumice stone. When using a Pumice stone, be care-full some toilets it can scratch, make sure you have it wet when scrubbing your rings out use it on an angle lightly scrub, it takes a while but it will work.

Leave clorox bleach in for about 10 mins and then once the 10 mins are up just scrub with the toilet scrub hopefully this helps.

I think it's called KaBOOM, but I might be wrong...I bought it at the grocery store and it literally was the easiest cleaning I've ever done. It just "melted" away the hard water stains and mold that had accumulated from the previous owner of our house.

Use a pumice stone to get rid of the rings and then try to clean it more often to keep the rings from coming back.
