Because the Republican minority is now happy to be the "Obstructionist" Party, and the President being the "Obstructionist" President.

They do. That is a tactic used by the opposing party to make it look like they can't get anything accomplished in congress.. Both parties use the same low life ruse. The sad part is the partisans take up the cry as if it is the holy truth.

You are correct , Some blame the Dems for not passing legislation not knowing it takes both parties to come together for the common good of the country. People are frustrated that our Congress is performing like the Iraqi Parliment ,which we all know is an utter failure!!

I think you have that backwards and what new legislation have they put forth? Since Pelosi and Reid took over they named 35 Post Offices' and pointed their fingers at Bush. Thats about it, you actually have to have new ideas and put forth legislation before it can be vetoed. They have done Neither. And that 's why the Pelosi/ Reid led Congress has the lowest approval rating in history. Get a clue.

I don't want them to pass legislation that they think will help people. It almost never does. They should be repealing some of the legislation they've passed that hurts people.
Split government is the best situation we can hope for. It stops the idiots in both parties from doing anything.

You could say the exact same thing for the first 6 years of the Bush administration.
That the Republicans just didn't have the numbers, to force their policies past the road blocking Democrats.

The 2/3 majority was created to keep part time politicians from altering our constitution before the public realized they were being taken, in much the way that the Socialist Democrats are doing now. The Dems promise everything to every group. Gay marriage, legalize drugs, affirmative action, open borders, abortions at K-Mart. You name it, they give it to you. The Republicans are the party trying to keep our nation sane.

Neither party wants to help the American - they work for corporations and special interest groups. You might want to check the voting records of Hillary and Obama and then explain how shipping jobs overseas and importing cheap foreign labor helps Americans.

I am pleased with the way my Government is running the country. My taxes are low, and my personal income and retirement is high. I personally am privledged enough to meet with my Reps. for a 'business' lunch every month or so. My Senator is a little harder to reach, but I have his cell phone if I need to speak with him (usually I do not.) But I complement them when they do a fine job, as they have been doing for the past 7 years.
